Big Blue is 1

   A year ago I started up my own little company after quitting my last career of 17 years. I was nervous and pretty uncertain how it would turn out. Well, its been a year, the business is still small but growing. Every single one of you are awesome and have made it fun to go to work again. I owe you everything because without you I wouldn't be celebrating my first anniversary. I truly appreciate you taking a chance on me and then for recommending your friends. To me thats the greatest compliment. That, or you want your friends to feel you pain... literally.

Will I get Bulky?



I've heard this question a lot and it a fair question but the straight answer is no. Now mind you, some folks out there, both men and women, are genetics monsters and do not fall into the normal category like you and I. Alas, we are normal. Well, as normal as normal gets I suppose. I've attached an article that touches on the subject. Its short and sweet and the picture at the bottom is great.

So don't worry ladies, (and men) you will not inflate to a mass of muscle and veins.

Recipe for Trail Mix

1 Cup Cacao Nibs
1 Cup Goji Berries
1/2 Cup Pumpkin Seeds
1/2 Cup Sunflower Seeds
1/2 Cup Walnut Pieces
1/2 Cup Shredded Coconut
1/2 Cup Raisins

These are the amounts I like to use because I LOVE the nibs and berries.  Mix it up to whatever amounts you like depending on your tastes.  I used unsalted sunflower and lightly salted pumpkin seeds 

All this I get at the bulk barn and some stuff can be found @ Costco

Happy Trail Mixing


Friday was truly a great workout experience.  How much fun did we have?  I'm happy that Jade and I got Vanessa to 'warm up' with us, with a 9km ride to Lesleys.  Then riding back 9km to only push a 'mater truck' down Parkshore Place with a group in the back.  Can't get any more HOBO than that in Carlisle.   Riding from workout to workout was fun.  We do need some target practice with our throwing - although the best team did get out on top.  Thanks to everyone for the feast at the end and to the 'hostess with the mostess - Janette', for opening up her gorgeous home for us to unwind....I am grateful to spend my time with some amazing people.

I don't have a job



   There is no way I can call what I do a "job". You don't get to be outside of 11 hours straight, hang out with incredible people, laugh as much as I did and get pushed into a pool at a job, (we'll talk about that part later). I hope you all had a much fun as I did. I'm a lucky guy.
   I have to thank all the great hosts/hostesses that opened their doors to us. Lesley, Sarah, Andrea Mac, Andrea C, Vanessa, Rick and Fern and Janette; you are all awesome and your houses are beautiful.
   I've posted some pictures of the day but by no means have I captured it in its entirety. Sometimes you have to put the camera down and watch with your eyes. Although I do wish someone had grabbed their phone to catch Vanessa do her song and dance routine. I'm sorry I missed it but something tells me there will be other opportunities.

Tires!


   Wednesday was the first day for the tires to appear. Jumpin', pullin' and pushin' them around the park on a sunny hump day. Don't forget about their close friend the rings that showed up as well. Don't worry, you'll be seeing them a lot throughout the summer, plus a few more of their friends.












Yoga


   A big thanks to Tracey for coming out and teaching the class on an awesome friday afternoon. I was impressed at how well you all did. We'll do it again for sure. 


The Lunge Line



   It may have started off a little rough but by the end it was nothing but military precision. A day I'm sure Nic will never forget. Well, at least his legs anyway.
